Another great piece of photography art from this seller. This is my second purchase and both are stunning. They came much quicker. I don't even have the room painted or I would show photos of the wall.DenisePurchased Lake Tahoe Snowy Nevada View
Patience, persistence, and timing
To create art, I start with a good photograph. That requires being in the right place at the right time (which can mean getting up long before dawn to capture the morning light, or standing in 2 feet of snow). It requires persistence. The light may not be right, or the sun is behind clouds, or the animals aren't there. So often, I return again and again until the conditions are just right. It requires patience. I've often stood with my eye to my camera lens waiting for an animal to peek out from where they're hiding, or take off and move, or look my way.
And all that is just to capture a photo. But the camera is just a tool. It can't "see" what my mind's eye sees. To bring out the art requires long hours at the computer getting the image just right.
And all of this took years of practice.

California Gold Country Iconic Red Church Fine Art Photo | Historical Landmark Picture | Fall Colors | Canvas, Metal, Acrylic Wall Art
Have you ever looked at a place and wondered—who built this, and why did they make it red?
As a landscape photographer, I hoped to capture the beauty of the iconic Red Church on the way to Yosemite in California’s Gold Country. After a heavy autumn rain, the church seemed to glow even brighter against the gray sky, its red walls standing out like a beacon. The wet ground shimmered, reflecting the steeple and the surrounding trees.
I stood on the muddy roadside, setting up my camera as the rain began to clear. The soft light of late afternoon made the church look even more magical, like a piece of history frozen in time. I clicked the shutter, capturing the vivid red, the dark wet earth, and the peaceful stillness of the moment.
When people see my photos, they often ask for prints of this scene. They say it makes them wonder about the people who built it and the stories the church holds. As I packed up, I felt grateful to have captured such a timeless and striking place.
This is why I love being a photographer—to bring the past and present together in one frame, sharing the wonder of places like this.
FYI:
St. James Church built in 1859 is considered the oldest Episcopal Church building in California. The first services were held on October 4, 1859. Its eight-sided steeple is an example of the Swedish architectural style. The red painted board and batten exterior walls are made from California redwood. The “Red Church” became an active parish of the Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin in 2007.
This photo will look great in your home or office.
